I purchased a pack of boneless, skinless chicken breast.

Whilst cleaning the chicken, I realized that there was a foul odor coming from the chicken. I threw it out.

I am 57 years old and I have never purchased 'bad' chicken. The chicken is tossed carelessly in the BJs open freezer. And I have seen staff put back meat that was out of the freezer. I suspect it is meat that a customer returned.

I am not surprised at getting bad chicken.

I am surprised that this has not happened before. My family would have gotten sick if they had eaten that chicken.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $14.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

BJs Wholesale Club Cons: Purchasing rotten meat.

Location: Miami, Florida

poor training with all employees regarding food safety and handling. did you know that the turnout rate for employees are very high since the company went private?

new employees every other week coming and going and the rush to replace those positions are so bad that theyd rather have people on the floor helping all facets of the store instead of making sure all are properly trained. hence its more than likely that employees are placing meat that might have been returned, because management neglects to effectively make sure of health laws and policy.
